Season one traces his early tentative steps into raiding, as he gathers a crew of fellow Norsemen and sets sail to England, to conquer and plunder the lowly natives.

An intriguing mixture of drama and history, the series is every bit as wild as the Norsemen themselves, with violence and sex intermingled with drama to make for compelling viewing. Game of thrones fans will feel right at home here, and the script is both clever and well written, ensuring you catch the just-one-more-episode bug.
