One of the most anticipated releases of 2013, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is finally with us after months of speculation and industry hype. The S4 has a hard act to follow – as the South Korean firm’s flagship Smartphone the Galaxy S3 won many pundits over with its multitude of features and versatility. The result was a best seller, with nearly 65 million units sold in Q4 of 2012 alone. Impressive numbers which are testament to the device’s quality.

The Smartphone’s most obvious rival is Apple’s iPhone 5, which has dominated the market since its release. With the iPhone firmly in its sights, the Galaxy S4 shares many of its looks with the S3, yet includes a number of key improvements. Samsung has given the S4 a larger 5in HD screen, faster processor and new features such as Air View, allowing you to operate the phone without touching the screen. More powerful and up-to-date than the iPhone 5, the S4 is a worthy successor that’s sure to please the S3’s army of loyal fans.

Will this host of technical features be enough to overthrow Apple’s crown? Until the release of the iPhone 5S at least, it appears to be a case of ‘Advantage Samsung’…
